Our Train to Teach “Introducing Mindfulness” (IM) 10-day teacher training programme is suitable for you if you would like to introduce mindfulness to an organisation or community, but not teach a full 8-week course.
Over the course of the 10-day programme you will:
The programme includes full training to teach the the Introducing Mindfulness (IM) programme, follow-up supervision sessions, and a post-training certification process.
At the end of the 10-day training, you will attend a group mentoring session on the supervision and certification process. You will then independently organise to teach the Introducing Mindfulness (IM) 3-session course to two groups of participants. Your trainer will provide 3 x 30-minute supervision sessions while you offer these courses:
Following this training, you are advised to apply for a Trained to Introduce Mindfulness Certificate confirming your readiness to deliver this course. Your supervisor will be asked to confirm your readiness to deliver the Introducing Mindfulness curriculum. Applying for this Certificate is free of charge.
This course will comprise ten days running 09.00-17.00 UK time:

I am a mindfulness practitioner, teacher, trainer, and author. I have had a long career in the NHS with a special interest in perinatal mental health and the provision of mindfulness to support NHS staff. I have an MSc and Clinical Doctorate and trained in MBCT, MBCT-L, Finding Peace and MBCP through the University of Oxford Mindfulness Foundation where I am a Teaching and Training Partner. I am a teacher of MBCT and MBSR, having trained at the University of Oxford and Bangor respectively. I have taught mindfulness to adults in a range of settings, including the NHS, Multi-Academy Trusts, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, to clinical and educational psychologists, in universities (University College, Kings, London, University of East Anglia), and on public courses.
