Description

This programme assumes you are already trained to teach MBCT through a recognised, trainer-led, 1-year teacher training programme and have a regular personal mindfulness practice https://bamba.org.uk/good-practice-guidelines/

Mindfulness for Life (MBCT-L) is a development of MBCT for the general population. Its structure is similar to the original MBCT for depression, with eight weekly sessions, home practice, and an all-day session. Alongside many of the practices and exercises from the original MBCT, it provides new practices and exercises to teach skills both for managing what is painful and difficult and for increasing wellbeing and flourishing. This workshop introduces the theoretical background and rationale for Mindfulness for Life, the structure and sequence of the curriculum, and the new practices and exercises.

PLEASE NOTE This curriculum is intended to be delivered to adults over 18 years of age and is not applicable for delivering to children or younger adults.

Curriculum materials and handouts for teaching the course are provided.

The OMF provides Confirmation of Attendance letters to all participants who attend 100% and take part in all aspects of the training event, including break out rooms, with their camera on.

What will I do on this course?

You will learn about the theoretical background and rationale for Mindfulness for Life, the structure and sequence of the curriculum, and practise teaching the new practices and exercises in small groups with trainer feedback.
