This workshop provides training in how to teach Mindfulness: Finding Peace in a Frantic World (M-FP). This curriculum is a development of MBCT based on the best-selling book by Mark Williams and Danny Penman. M-FP provides a practical and accessible introduction to mindfulness, with 6 or 8 weekly sessions of 60-90 minutes and home practices of 10-20 minutes. It includes practices and exercises for working with stress and for increasing wellbeing and resilience and is suitable for workplaces, universities and schools, and the general public.
PLEASE NOTE This curriculum is intended to be delivered to adults over 18 years of age and is not applicable to children

IMPORTANT: You do not need to complete this workshop if you are currently on the OMC 12-month cohort training route
The OMC provides Confirmation of Attendance letters to all participants who fully attend our training events.
What will I do on this course?
You will learn about the theoretical background and rationale for the Finding Peace in a Frantic World curriculum, the structure and sequence of the curriculum, and practise teaching the new practices and exercises in small groups with trainer feedback.
This workshop offers you the opportunity to:
- Learn about the background and rationale for the M-FP curriculum
- Understand the structure and sequence of this curriculum
- Practice teaching the key practices and exercises that are part of this curriculum
- Explore considerations for delivering this curriculum in a variety of settings
- Reflect on similarities and differences between this curriculum and other MBCT courses
About the Teachers
I work part-time as an MBCT teacher and trainer for the OMC. I also teach Insight Meditation retreats in the UK, US and mainland Europe, and have a psychotherapy practice in Oxford.
For the OMC, I teach the Buddhist Psychology component on the MSt in MBCT course, run the programmes of Mindfulness courses and classes in Parliament, and assist with planning and teaching the annual Summer School. I also contribute to various trainings and masterclasses for mindfulness teachers.
An organisational change consultant and mindfulness trainer, I work in partnership with organisations to develop fresh mindsets and enable employees to reach their full human potential in an interconnected world through mindfulness training and other approaches rooted in contemporary neuroscience and scientific evidence
