Our Train to Teach “Introducing Mindfulness” (IM) 10-day teacher training programme is suitable for you if you would like to introduce mindfulness to an organisation or community, but not teach a full 8-week course.

Over the course of the 10-day programme you will:

  • Train to deliver the 3-session Introducing Mindfulness (IM) curriculum, which offers a brief taste of mindfulness practice, skills and theory in a format intended to be accessible to anyone new to mindfulness.
  • Explore how to implement mindfulness in your context, including practices that may be useful for ‘taster’ sessions, ‘drop-ins’, follow-on practice sessions, etc. You can read more about the Introducing Mindfulness (IM) course HERE.

The programme includes full training to teach the the Introducing Mindfulness (IM) programme, follow-up supervision sessions, and a post-training certification process.

At the end of the 10-day training, you will attend a group mentoring session on the supervision and certification process. You will then independently organise to teach the Introducing Mindfulness (IM) 3-session course to two groups of participants. Your trainer will provide 3 x 30-minute supervision sessions while you offer these courses:

  • 1 supervision session before the first course,
  • 1 session in-between courses, and
  • 1 session after the end of the second course.

Following this training, you are advised to apply for a Trained to Introduce Mindfulness Certificate confirming your readiness to deliver this course. Your supervisor will be asked to confirm your readiness to deliver the Introducing Mindfulness curriculum. Applying for this Certificate is free of charge.
