The British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA)

The British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA) is the UK’s primary professional body of mindfulness practitioners, teachers and teacher training organisations. Their mission is to promote safe, ethical and inclusive practices in the field of evidence-based secular mindfulness teaching in the UK.

Their Good Practice Guidelines were developed to promote good practice in teaching mindfulness-based courses, in training mindfulness-based teachers, in the supervision of mindfulness-based teachers and trainers, for teaching mindfulness in the workplace and for teaching mindfulness to people with learning disabilities.

Their register lists professionally trained teachers who meet the BAMBA Good Practice Guidelines, enabling them to deliver BAMBA-recognised courses offered by their quality assessed teacher training providers.

In 2024, Oxford Mindfulness completed a quality assessment process and were graded as meeting high standards of good practice, ethics and safety in our approach to teaching and training in the field of mindfulness.

We remain an Affiliated Teacher Training Organisation recognised and registered with BAMBA.
