The OMF offers two routes for people wishing to train to introduce and train to teach mindfulness using the Mindfulness for Life curriculum.
In deciding which route to apply for, we ask you to consider your intentions for training.
If you are already trained to teach and looking for additional training, workshops and skills, this option is right for you.
We offer a range of short teacher training programmes, workshops and our Branch Training to support your on-going skills and teacher competencies.
We offer ‘Branch Training’ for teachers trained in other Mindfulness curricula who would like to learn to teach the Mindfulness for Life curriculum. To find out more about our branch training and how to apply, please visit here.
Teaching Mindfulness Courses
If your intention is to teach a range of courses using the MBCT curricula, this option is right for you.
This route includes all the knowledge and skills with in-depth training necessary for teaching full length and our shorter mindfulness courses.
We offer ‘Branch Training’ for teachers trained in the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) curriculum or mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy for Depression (MBCT) who would like to learn to teach the Mindfulness for Life curriculum. Our teacher training routes are designed for professionals from a variety of backgrounds who are interested in introducing and teaching mindfulness in a broad range of settings.
To choose a training programme that best suits your interests and needs, the following factors may be helpful:
12 months part-time
Introduce mindfulness and teach several curricula:

8-Week Mindfulness for Life curriculum

Eligible to apply for ‘Trained Teacher Certificate’ after teaching two full courses under supervision
